12"x16" Endangered Species Art Print: Puerto Rican Nightjar

Made by Giclee Today

Endangered Species Coalition 2019 art contest semifinalist. Drawn by Julie Rears in the grade 9-12 category.

This drawing is of the Puerto Rican nightjar. They have large, dark black eyes, a short gray bill, and gray tarsi. Like all nightjars, they possess stiff bristles around the beak to help with the capture of insects in flight. Puerto Rican nightjars are considered to be under pressure from habitat loss due to urban development and agricultural expansion, and through predation by introduced predators such as the small Indian mongoose and feral cats, and native predators such as owls.

  • This print is on an archival paper for beautiful long lasting prints with exceptional color reproduction (Bright white, 100% cotton, slightly textured)
  • This print is 12" by 16" with a white border around the image
